going to the south need some info

Go ask if you can hunt Fort Pulaski National Monument... :tongue3: Probably get snubbed there, but go to the beaches, they are long and full of potential. I have been there a few times, but not to detect :'( Just go down town in the area of Forsythe park. That would be a good spot as well as all the plantation homes in and around the area. It is one historic area that's for sure. I hope you come back with some good finds...Goodluck.....jgas

I can't help you but you may want to post this in the GA forum.

I don't know much about Savannah, but I can tell you if you hunt any Really old sites you better have a
permit from Ga. They are very strict on what you find and what kind of permission you have.

I'd also check with the Savannah district and see what they have to say on the subject.

Good Luck, Ringfinder

ringfinder,
That's the same guy who was on the CW bit on the Travel Channel the other night. Just as nice a guy as you'd ever want to meet, along with his wife.

I am sure Savannah has excellent potential.

Try using the maps site on Google and Google Earth to locate some tot-lots around there. Tot-lots are constantly replenished with gold and silver jewelry.

I just said Google twice!

Make that thrice!

Best........day........ever!

I have published the GPS coordinates of all the Tot Lots in Georgia in my new book, entitled GPS coordinates of all the Tot Lots in Georgia

You can pick a copy up at your local bookstore.

Oh, and Nice Finds!

Hunting the beach is cool....just make sure before you try it in Savannah....they have very strict laws about that kind of thing due to all the historic distrist stuff....but there are lots of places out of the city, just stop and ask and always look for posted signs at the parks around....Have a great time, the wife and i stayed for a week on Tybee Island in a beach house and did lots of hunting there. One of the Hurricanes last season that ran along the coast washed huge hunks of beach away, but they are sucking sand from just off shore and dumping it back on the beach area...you never know what they might suck up and spit onto the beach area...Keep up advised as to your hunting luck down there....Steve in Tenn.

Sorry I can not help. B ut if you so get to hunt and find anything make sure you post your finds.....Matt

Don't eat any of the local food or drink the water.
