Going through the “maybe” pile.... expert opinions needed

Another one from the maybe pile. This quartz sure is hard to tell sometimes.
Front side looks worked, back side is a bit crude... is this anything? And if it is, is it a projectile point or something else?
Thoughts? Upstate South Carolina

Hey GrouseMan,

I’d say that you’re looking at a very used up Morrow Mountain Variety.

Quartz was a favored lithic all along the Atlantic Coast.

You can see tiny and very uniform resharpening flakes taken all along both blade edges in Pic #1. The basic shape is consistent with that type. However, if Pic#3 is directed at the base (? seems snapped off), it may have been a different stemmed point type.

Just observations. I defer to the experts in your region.
