🔎 UNIDENTIFIED Going through my finds I have to wonder what this may be?

I am cleaning my finds and going through unidentified things I have found the last couple years. I found this piece in spring run Pennsylvania next to a barn that has a corner marker that says it was built in 1812. It is magnetic and I ran it through an electrolysis bath and sealed it. Anybody have any idea what this thing might be?
