These are my Flying Eagle Cents, dug in or around Charleston SC 30+ years ago..
Awe inspiring and that's why I'm posting here...
For me, some of the most beautiful coins the US ever made..

Bye the way... there are 3 coins here, even if it looks like more, some are out of the coin holder while other pics are in..
Worst one you can clearly see some kind of metal corrosion.. not sure what that is..

I have found 4, but sold the worst one at auction last weekend..

Any Idea of Value for these ?

And if anyone is interested, they read anywhere from 74-76 on my DEUS II

Thanks

I've added the picture of the really bad one I sold at auction, probably got $5 for it..

You did very well for yourself. I have dug 1 - 1858, and if you get the light right, you can see a wing and the last “8” in the year. Your “bad” example is a 10x improvement on mine.
The one I sold at auction was almost assuredly like what you describe.. just a shadow... These others I have been lucky with..
The best one came from Sandy Soil on Folly Island, (not the surf) and on a Union campsite..

Mine came very unexpectedly from the side of a scrap iron heap about 2 miles from the house. Didn’t know what I had until I got home. Due to thickness, assumed it was some sort of nickel. Did pull 2 eagles (coat and cuff) from the same general area.
