I haven’t been doing much lately but I managed a couple of hunts over the weekend. I went to the local haunts and picked up some clad. I then had a thought about a pond that I used to fish in when I was younger. It was dried up now so I figured I would check and see if I could find any of my lost lures of yore. I hunted the pond all over and probably had a total of 6 hits…one ended up being this goose band. It had notify the Wildlife Dept. here in SC, so I shot off an email to one of the game biologist. He forwarded the email to the guy who was in charge of the goose program here in SC. Up until the mid 1980’s we had very few geese down here. I was able to find out that this goose was caught in June of ’87 in Pa., then transported to a location in Colleton County, which was about 75 miles or so from the pond where I found it. Kinda interesting to find out some of the history of things you find. HH all and have fun.
