I picked up these two pieces at a yardsale, and I paid 6 bucks for both. I normally don't buy glass, but these looked similar to stuff I saw Diggum post before, so I figured $6 wasn't too much of a gamble.

These pieces my dad got in a trade with some other stuff, he nor I know anything about them.

Your thoughts on either set would be appreciated.

Tall green compote has both Heisey & Cambridge traits, could even be Tiffin but I don't have the proper books to know for sure but I bet it's one of those 3. The short desert or custard cup I dunno, to plain & simple for me to try to look up. The cranberry ruffled bowl is Fenton & I'm sure the other 2 cranberry pieces are as well.

This rose bowl matches your bigger bowl

The above reply sounds good. It's too bad the green doesn't have a pattern or an etched design on it. That would enhance the price somewhat. The cranberry colored glass is great. Fenton is a good guess and probably correct. Though it may be "ruby overlay" versus cranberry.

Nice buys. Thanks for sharing...

BTW $6 was a great price on the tall green compote alone forget the smaller cup/dish that was just a bonus. That tall compote is worth $20-$25 minimum (I wouldn't take a penny less) & maybe even $30-$40 or so. It is odd that piece isn't etched as most like it are. I'm going to try to get an ID for ya on FB. It wont take long.

Well its been an hour & it has got 15 likes so far & one response asking for the dimensions. So I'll ask you exactly how tall & wide is it? Everyone on the vintage glass page seems sidetracked by a how to make a bad back better discussion...lol, I'm sure before long someone will ID it.

Got it... Its Cambridge #1090 Decagon compote without any etching. Someone suggested it might be in the Cambridge Decagon line & so I searched Cambridge Decagon & found this one & bingo we have a match. Never mind the color difference.
