Glass wax seal

A buddy of mine found this wax seal along with some other goodies dated from the war of 1812 and prior. The question is... who is the bust on the seal ?

That is a very interesting wax seal. It is definitely 18th century. The figure looks Colonial French. If you post a closer picture of the bust, I could identify it for you.
