glass spiral beaker?

I found two of these at a garage sale and no one knows what they are. The glass stands about one foot high and has a spiral manifold inside it. When I bought it the lady said it was for anti flicker with a candle inside it. Anyone have an Idea? Thank you I am posting photos

Looks more like a laboratory condenser or heat sink test tube....be kinda tough to remove melted candle wax from that....lol.

It's a glass heat exchanger that someone used as a candle holder.
