I own a small house that survived the burning of Atlanta and it is situated next to the original railroad line that ran through Atlanta. One theory as to why it may have survived when most everything next to the railroad was burned is because it may have been a field hospital. It?s on one acre of land and wherever I turn soil in the yard I will uncover broken glass. In the last two summers I have gathered a bucket of broken glass. Any thoughts on why I would have this concentration?
