Got a pink depression plate and a couple of what I think are Fostoria pieces.

Not sure what the patterns are but for a buck a piece I couldn't resist.

I got them from my local junkman, who I visit regularly. Its amazing what people throw away!

Also got this Richard Nixon desk item from a Flea Market for $10

Thanks for sharing...

The other glass- 1st bowl was made by Fostoria and the pattern is called Century, don't know the etched flower name.
The footed bowl was made by Federal Glass and the pattern is Colombia, again don't know the etched flower name.

I like that Nixon bronze, looks like a Medallic Art Co. version.

Thank you ! That's a big help!:notworthy:

Say what you will but he was not a bad president. Watergate overshadowed his actual achievements. There have been a few since that were much worse.
Nixon’s most enduring achievements were made in the arena of foreign policy. When he made his ground-breaking visit to China in 1972 he brought that country out of dangerous isolation. He was the first US president to go to Moscow, where he negotiated the Strategic Arms Limitation Treaty, breaking the ice of Cold War nuclear hostility. Other Nixon achievements, with full honour to the role played in them by Henry Kissinger, included saving Israel from near annihilation in the 1973 war and eventually signing the peace treaty with North Vietnam. By the time Nixon left office he had brought peace to millions, even if he had not found it for himself.
On the home front, Nixon was a creative innovator. He desegregated southern schools, which neither JFK nor LBJ had achieved. He ended the compulsory call-up of the draft. He launched the Environmental Protection Agency. He created more new national parks than any other president and started the federally funded war on cancer.

Nixon also killed the gold standard. I'm still on the fence on whether or not that was a good idea.

Nice finds! I need to learn more about glassware and pottery.

Just curious, what do you mean by local junk man? what does he do to find nice glassware like this? Seems like an awesome resource!

He runs a trash business
Sometimes people drop off stuff , he cleans out storage units, or house clean outs . I visit him almost weakly and usually find some very interesting things.
