Glad to be back - and in the Gold!

It's been a while since I've detected and yesterday I decided that I'd had enough of the "real" world; it was time to enjoy our hobby once again.
I hit a large local tot lot and found a lot of silly stuff; cat barrett, plastic monkey face ring, washers and a few clad coins. Almost embarassed to say that I eyeballed my best find; poking up from the sand - the hot afternoon Florida sun sending sparks of color my way. It's a pretty nice earring - I've added the dime to show the size. And it's thick, too; about as thick as a nickle. The best I ever found in a tot lot. There is a tiny, tiny, TINY mark on the post that reads "14K". I'm tried my best to get that miniature script to show on the photo, but to no avail. But trust me - it's there.
Glad to be back - and back in the gold!

Thanks for all the nice words, everyone! Went back out today with a good friend - she's a newbie; loaned her my land machine and we hunted the beach fronts around local lakes. She was a coin shootin' fool! Found about $4 worth of clad and got too much sun. Going to go with her to Kellyco on Friday so she can buy her own machine. I'm sure she'll be joining this website soon, too!
