I believe the house I found these at date to late 1700s. Just wanted to see if anyone had a age for the button. Says gilt at bottom and can’t make it that top. I can see “Warr” at top. Also I do not know what the “wizard” thing is. Says wizard on one side with some engraving and I think some patent dates on other side. 78791819-6D0D-4C23-862A-0041C0E915E8.webp78791819-6D0D-4C23-862A-0041C0E915E8.webpCBDED349-7149-4D6F-9F39-F4FA675DF70D.webpD6C7C45F-9B61-4D74-92FA-CC4150884BAB.webp11B98B76-94E3-4A18-B6AD-48BB86815FB9.webpCBDED349-7149-4D6F-9F39-F4FA675DF70D.webp

I know it says warranted now. There is stats on each side in between the two words. I really just want to know the type and age if anyone out there can help thanks again!

If dug in the US, b,rass 1-piece flatbuttons with a backmark written in indented (not raised) lettering date from about 1810 into the 1830s. Most of that type were manufactured in Britain, and imported here because the young American button-making industry could not produce enough to satisfy the demand for them from the clothing industry. At that time. "Warranted" was Brit-speak for "Guaranteed."

The "Wizard" thing is a cuff clip. 1880's - 1910's. Never seen one on here before. That's a cool dig IMO.
