I found this gilded thing, that looks like it holds a photo, but I have no clue what it is, how old is it? It is brass under the gilding. IMG_20140406_123216.jpgIMG_20140406_123223.jpgIMG_20140406_123234.jpg

P.S. Also found a pocket knife, that looks to be from the 1930s-1950s.

Thanks,

Bolo cord accent was spot on. Have several made like this and have the stones still in them. Mine were not found in the ground though and still have the bolo cords.

I read they were popular in the 1970's.
They were most popular in the 70's, but I still see folks wearing them today especially in the South West part of the country and Mexico. Many are very fancy hand made native silver and turquoise. Their beautiful works in jewelry.
