I got out today, hunting a permit only county park .The weather was pretty nice, for December.anyway ,I found around a dollar in clad. I. got a long signal around this giant oak,I dug what seemed at least 10 inches down.It has seen better days, but I like it. Update...i cleaned it up a little and was able to id it.it seems this is Ertl's first, found a nice little story about it.http://www.farmcollector.com/toys/New-Materials-Technology-Revive-Farm-Toy-Hobby.aspx dec 005.JPGtoken creek 002.JPG

Looks like a single cylinder popping Johnny with a big flywheel. Love it.

It's not all about coins and jewelry; those old toys add luster to the hobby, too!

Love the old tractor! One of my fave finds is a bent toy red Petrol truck made in England just before or after WWII. For me, digging up an old toy has even better feel than a nice coin or jewelry, because I know some kids had a lot of fun playing outdoors with it back in the day. HH Andi
