This, among many items, is coming up for auction tomorrow.

Having not seen these items in person, I'm going to make the assumption that is a normal $5 bill used as a size reference for the gigantic coin.

Questions:
Does that represent the back of a real coin?
Have you ever seen this object as a movie or TV prop, or something?
What do you think it's worth?

Thanks for any help you can render.

It's sort of like a Morgan but the eagle is wrong.... if it's metal it would weigh almost as much as a manhole cover so likely not silver. ;D I've never seen one......could have been from a coin dealer display?

That thing is about 27-28 inches in diameter. Maybe it's plastic, and it is a bad imitation of a Morgan Dollar reverse.

I remember those from when I was a kid. Somebody had one hanging on their wall. This was around 1970.

Yup..there was another thread about these some time ago. There are quite a few of those things knocking about. :)

Oh well, I went to the Auction and could not find that coin anywhere. I'm unfamiliar with these, thanks for all your posts. I thought I might have been a movie prop, because there was also a parking meter and a fireplug that could be used as props or practical jokes. Green check time. Thanks again!
