The Light That Shined Where Money Was Buried​

This story took place on the Fairview Road in Christian County, KY.? A woman by the name of Miss Cobb had hanged herself in the well house one night.? She had taken a lantern and buried her money down in the field below the house and then hanged herself in the well house.
? ?Every rainy night a light (from a lantern) will come out of the well house and go across the fields and down into the ground at the foot of the hill.? The lantern travels just about the same way a person would carry it.? The popular belief is that the light goes down just where Miss Cobb buried her money.
? ?Several people have dug around in the daytime looking for the money.? People believe that if anyone would follow the light and mark the place, they would find the money.

Sweet! I'd follow the light if it means finding treasure. Mabee the ghost wants someone to find it. Or mabee her ghost wants to haunt the person who recovers it. I wouldn't mind her haunting me as long as I her ghost doesn't take the treasure! lol! Matt

Did she leave a note or tell someone she burried something? Iwas just wondering how people new that she burried somthing. That would be pretty cool, see a gohst and get a treasure...2 for the price of one! Maybe we should get Jeraldo to check it out, cant be any worse than capones vault. lol

Alot of ghost stories are related to buried treasure. In the old days, the thought of ghosts frightened people to death, so if someone was believed to have buried something, what better way to keep people away.
But, I also believe in real ghosts.
