toasted,

Most people would dig every Indian signal they came across....great looking silver ring.

Regards + HH

Bill

Congrats on pulling that ring and a squad of indians. I would not let any indians in the ground. Who knows. the next one may be an 1877. You sure are getting picky. I love to see an indian in the hole.

I'd be willing to trade. If you like clad. ;)

I believe in "Leaving no Indian behind"....that said, most folks would gladly trade you hunting spots.

I don't leave any good signal in the ground and, I have dug many, many iffy signals!:laughing7:

Yeah... I must say, thats a first I've heard someone say they leave indian signals in the ground!! One indian would make my day when i get out detecting! Maybe its a way to preserve some finds for later!!! Great digs...

I'm saving some Indian signals for a friend. None of the Indians here are early or in great condition anyway

Awesome... I applaud you for that!! :occasion14:

Yeah, but just wait 'til your friend digs those gold dollars disguised as indians. ;)

Those signals probably are indians as you say but they are probably something more than just that.

All the Indians here have rung up around 68 on the at pro with the numbers not really wanting to lock on. I'm guessing due to their corroded condition. The 1902 O dime, the only period silver from here, rang up a constant 83-4. All the wheaties a constant 78-81

I am stunned to think that anybody would leave an "Indian Signal " in the ground ! Having not found a single one in 11 years of metal
detecting , I might be a little biased in this opinion ! Everybody talks about the 1877, but there are a number of other solid key dates !

What ? You are leaving Indians ? My idea of treasure hunting is pulling any coin out of the ground that is not clad ! I still like to pull the Indians, & just last Sunday I dug a semi-key 1873. My detector didn't tell me what the date on it was. Only penny better than an Indian, is a Large Cent !

Yep,, I know what you mean

This year I have been so focused on silver, whenever I dig an Indian Head Penny, , I just throw it back in the hole. lol

I haven't even been able to find an IHP yet....

No indians pennies shall stay in the ground, lol. Seriously I wound dig them all since I never found one, a bit scarce here In Canada but we never know.

Good idea. Leave all the Indians in the ground. No need to dig mid-high tones at all. :laughing7:
