Getting the hang of it

I am trying to figure out a way to talk my wife into letting me spend some of our tax return on a more powerful detector. I think it will take just one gold ring to do it....the ground needs to hurry up and finish thawing.

I have noticed that MDing in woodchips at parks is much easier than trying to do so in my yard. I will hit my yard this weekend with my daughter to see if we can come up with any old coins. I know my detector can tell what a coin is, ect...so who knows?

Tell your wife how much you want HER to enjoy the hobby with you but, to do that, you will need another detector. Are you just learning how to have things your way?? ;D

Im 29 years old, and this is my third wife.....I am trying to be cautious, lol. She is not interested in MDing. Her and I have some hobbies we share, and some that we dont. This will be one that we dont. It wont be too hard to convince her, as long as we pay off all the bills first....

Persistence pays off, great to see you finding some good stuff.

Careful there, Soldier! :D Three at 29?! :P Better find something good in a hurry if you are to convince her you need that income tax money for another detector! :D

Congrats on your finds.......Nana ;)

Your on the right track. Once you have a grasp on the tones you will be finding much more of the good stuff. Look forward to seeing some posts of your finds. ;D

3 is a Charm as they say...Keep telling her that...

If you want to play dirty you might have your daughter giver that million dollar smile and say she needs a detector so she can go out with Dad to hunt. ;D ;D Never mind that only works on Dad's :-[ :-[ :-[
Well god luck any way.

Buy a fairly nice ring in her size , get it good + muddy + give it to her . Watch her eyes light up after she gets the mud cleaned off + trys it on . Maybe new detector on the way . If not you've still scored some valuable brownie points . Win Win ;D ;D HH

LOL...never try to pull a fast one on a woman with a masters degree in mathematics...

I went out again today after my Chem test was over, picked up another .85 cents in clad. My wife was looking at some of the junk jewelry I found.....

She asked me when I was going to come up with diamonds....lol ;D

My wife asked when I was going to dig up enough to pay for my detector. I told her I couldn't because I was still trying to dig up enough to keep paying for her!! You are getting the pinpointing down the, eh? GL

Laater...

Well, I am getting it down on woodchips, anyway. I have discovered that in a playground, if you hit one coin, there are usually a few more very close by. Then, you just walk around picking up odd pennies and the occaisional barrett.

Sure she will be happy about the ring...she will hug you and kiss you and then tell you that MD seems to work just fine....ha!

Just remember one thing. When a woman says yes it could have 300 different meanings. You want the good yes, with her attention on the correct subject, nothing else. If she says yea, go ahead, and walks away with little interest or anything even remotely off key . DON'T BUY IT!!! You might find yourself and your new detector spending to much time together, in the cold.
