So I've had an Ace 250 for about a year and a half now, and have loved/mastered it. I'm ready for the next level up. I can't drop the kind of money that an E-Trac would cost but I was thinking an AT Pro? Would be nice to stick with a Garrett machine. I'm looking for more depth and better discrimination. Ace 250 is difficult to use in very trashy areas. I think the most I could spend is about $600, maybe $700. But now I've been hearing about these problems people are having with the AT Pro... any suggestions would be much appreciated.

If you are looking to spend $600 to $700 there are many machines that would be an upgrade from the 250. Just about all manufacturers have very good machines in that range. I would check out the dealers for each and get a hands on and see which you like the best.

The Minelab X-Terra 705 is a very good machine , the AT Pro that you are worried about has had the issues worked out so it is fine to buy .
Just about every one of the manufactures have a good machine , you just need to read and compare the ones that you like to find the one that seems the best for you.

Give Mike a call , from Woodland detectors , you will see him on here , he will help you find what you want and you will like the service that he has and gives .

Treasure,
Make sure you get a dealer that has the new ones in stock that have had the issues fixed. Holler at me if you have any questions or need help. Bart

A lot of us started with Garrett machines. in 2007, I switched to Tesoro and have never looked back. You can spend $300.00-400.00 and have a machine that will blow your mind. Do yourself a huge favor and research the Tesoro line before you buy. Made in America, by Americans, with a Lifetime Warranty. - Terry

Oh that is so easy. :hello:

A Teknetics G2 will make you very happy. And so will a Minelab Xterra 505 or 705
Right in your price range.

We carry them all.

Give me a call and I will help you out. 855-966-3563 :)
