Hi Dale!
I too am from Florida, West Palm Beach actually. I'm fairly new at this hobby and getting discouraged at never finding anything of value except pop cans ad nails. Is the answer a good detector and not a cheap one like I have? I would be happy to find even the coin you found. I have been as far north as Melbourne, Sebastian, and Vero Beach where all the treasures are suppossed to be but I have found nothing!
Any advise?
Thanks,
Barb

Hey Boobydoo & Barb
My hunting buddy found that coin on Cocoa Beach of all places. It was after they pumped sand up to the beach from the Canaveral Shoals. Guess it got pumped up, you just never know what you will find out there.
My hunting buddy had a lower cost detector and I talked him into upgrading to a whites XLT, He found that coin with it and hasn’t stopped since. He now has a DFX and loves it. Just have to remember, if you don’t look you wont find.

Hello Dale,

I have only hunted Cocoa once, but I am thinking very hard about hitting Cocoa this weekend on the low tides and hunt the beaches by the pier as well as do some pattern searches in front of some of the resorts.

Maybe I will see you there. I am using a Whites Beach Hunter ID
