my 1ST hole --- hiding under a root at 5 inches--- expecting something like a buckle... bouncing from 82 to 85 on the ATPro. took a mere 15 minutes to exhume this dead horse:BangHead:._______________

TIME WELL SPENT......:laughing7:

got my 1ST one at the 1686 Colonial farm a few years back... that was roached from the farm soil----this was bagged 50 feet from the shore along the Hudson river..... somewhere in Ulster County in virgin ground. this site will be getting a massive thumping :metaldetector: when the global warming releases it's grip on the Emperor State of N.Y. :BangHead::laughing9:8-)

Congratulations on that sweet copper. And I'm with you on the heatwave part.. lol

Just as I have gotten time to detect myself finally finished the "Honey do list" this massive heatwave set in. Lol

I don't come on TreasureNet at all anymore because I have a great amount of dislike for those that run the site. But I was lured back to see this beautiful coin. With a bad hip, facing 90+ degree heat, and pushing 70 years old Port Ewen Ace put his research to work for himself yesterday and was rewarded with a great find. Way to go, Rich!!

Cant get over the after-pics. That thing was in great condition! Congrats!

I think you need to put the pictures of the coin on the hood of your car on here for comparison. You can definitely see more detail in that second set of photos.

I've heard of this global warming thing but I'm skeptical. That is a sick new jersey copper! It's in pretty nice condition compared to what the ground can do. Congrats. I still haven't found one yet but I know there are some waiting for me!

Just kidding about the global warming. It's very very real. Thanks for sharing your find!
