Howdy
Well another week of short hunts, about 6 hours worth. Trying to get all the hunting I can before winter and my Uncle Sam vacation. All hunting was here on post, still finding some good stuff in the parade field. In front of one of the barrack they tore away the side walk and I had some old finds under it.

I really never used my headphones before, but they really have allowed me to locate the elusive targets.

THE GOOD STUFF:
1. 5ea unit crest
2. 2ea rings, one silver
3. old German coin 1857 or maybe 1657
4. silver dime
5. old naval button
6. lead seal, from some Panzer unit
7. 1938 9mm training round (silver color)

I have to figure out how to do better pictures.

Brother ,you are cleaning house! I left Germany almost a year ago and it took me a while to get over the detecting withdrawls! You never know what will come out of the ground! The WW2 stuff was always a thrill.

Your finds from there continue to amaze me. I only wish I knew about MD'ng when I was with the 10th SF Group in Bad Tolz. Flint Kaserne was the SS Officer Training Post during Hitler's reign. I can only imagine what is still there. Parts of the basement are still flooded and barred as the US deemed some of the passageways unsafe to enter. If you could only get in there.

Thanks all
Alot of history in this country. The US bases are closing rapidly. In 1991 there were about 150,000 US military personnel in Germany, the goal for 2010 is about 28,000. Many kaserns have been given back, probably full of US coins and relics.

I think the 10th still has a Det in Stuttgart.

Nice finds! Bad Tolz would be a nice hunt. HH, Mike
