I had a friend take me to some WW2 sites. One was just a bunch of fields with a dike system built by the German army in the 30s? to drain the fields. My guide told me that there were under ground storage rooms for the push into France but they were all flooded. Then we went to a hill side that had a lot of guns and ww2 stuff found there. The US army were in pursuit of a band of German soldiers and the wooded hillside is where they unloaded alot of gear. My friend has found 5 rifles and a flare pistil there. All in poor shape from the elements.I am gonna get back there and really do some diggin when time permits. I found a few rifle parts and lots of rounds and a couple of quick loaders(used to attach 5 rounds together to be loaded quickly). There were so many bullets, I started to leave them in the dirt after a while. I found one coin but I forgot to put it in the pic. It says 10 cent but it is not US. It is in rough shape so I will soak it for awhile. The date can't be read. The third pic down was a quick hunt from Friday. Thanks for looking and happy hunting.
