This is available for sale and I'm wondering what is it exactly? It has German marks for 800 silver on the bottom and the top is inscribed "Fur Erinnerung" meaning In memory or something like that. It's about 1.5" tall and I'm thinking it is a little box of ashes? The writing in the bottom is harder to decipher and it is not in my possession. Any ideas?

Never mind. Whatever it is, a couple folks wanted it enough for the bids to go above $400.00.

That's cool:thumbsup: Way over spot price I'm thinking.

Yep, I spoke to the guy who got outbid and said that it was a gift that dignitaries in Mexico would give or receive and the name on it was someone important. The lot it was in also had two small gold rings...hence the extra reason it ended up over $600.00. Not my price range for gambling at all!
