Not a "Today" find, but found this last week and wanted to share. Unfortunately, destroyed! Found in my parents yard. House is about 90 years old. Had two uncles that serve in the army in Germany during WWII and lived in this house after they returned. I can assume that this is one coin that they may have brought back.
What I know about this is that to allocate typical coinage metals for the war effort, Germany had coinage made out of Aluminum. Go figure!!! If anyone can add anything it would be appreciated. Thanks!
