Georgia nugget hunting

I would like some help learing how to nugget hunt, I have a MXT and time on my hands. I'm burnt out on relics and would like to start nugget hunting. I live north of Atlanta and I know there is gold in north Georgia.

I'm way up in Canada and I'm not familiar with the MXT, but I'm not a stranger to gold. To hunt for nuggets, you need to find out more about placer mining techniques relating to where the gold is likely to be in a given area. As for the area you mentioned, follow this link to Google and your'll find several links about your area:

Two things you will need to know are; how to tell what you've found, (as gold isn't always yellow and shiney), and what to do with the gold once you've found it. You may want to check out my recent posts relating to product and information links that will help you identify your gold, silver, or platinum finds:

Let me know if you want a partner. I live south of Atlanta with a lot of free time.

I'd be interested too. Live in Athens, Ga.

I am interested in partnering up as well. I am already in Dahlonega and will probably be here for another week or two. I have my own metal detector and shovel and will supply all of the food, as well as take you to my new secret creek, in exchange for shower access and a gold pan kit. The location is convenienty located near town and there's a restroom within easy walking distance. No camping out is required. Very nice, scenic hilltop views nearby too. Jeff
