That's an expensive coin. I still find it odd how such a coin was only struck 1000 times or so - seems like a lot of effort for such a low run or printing. Cool none the less.
 

There are no listings for the weight of typical examples of each denomination that I can find.

If you wanted to do the math, I found a listing saying that the $2.50 piece size is 0.7126" H x 0.7126" W, though the thickness is not listed anywhere.

It is worth $480,000 as long as there are two collectors out there willing to bid it up :laughing7:

I don't think a coin like that would be a good investment though. It's seems like a niche market that's quite variable.

I'd assume that the weight would be a bit short of 4.37 grams. That's the weight of federally issued quarter eagles of the same age.

Even if I found one, I wouldn't know if it was REAL even if it bit me in the a**. Didn't know such a coin existed, thinking it as a token.
