Today I dug this its a medal of some kind
Scrappy said he thought George Washington.
It's possible , but if anyone knows what this is please

It is a souvenir badge from 1880-1910.. they made all sorts of them. Clean it up, I believe it is that traitor to the South... Lincoln!

Dewey returned to NY in his Flagship in late September of 1899. He was a national hero and it was a big celebration.
