The only silver half from out two boxes this week. I think we will keep it.

Keep on Searching

PS here is some info on the coin:
George Washington Silver Half Dollar B.U.

These coins were struck in 90% silver, representing the first 90% silver coins to be produced by the US Mint since the 1964-dated circulating coins. Both proof and uncirculated versions were available with a maximum authorized mintage of 10 million. These coins remained available for sale until the end of 1985, selling more than 7 million pieces

I have two of them myself...found them BOTH in the same box!!! Crazy. Looks like yours is in really nice shape. Nice find!

Great find, was this Dad or Tanner? Who ever found it won!!! =-)
I like how you keep the coins you like for personal collection, seems like some folk on here rather just sell sell sell.. It's all about the fun!
Thanks for sharing!

Cool! I want one :) At around 7-10 million minted, and being obviously NIFC, that's gotta be worth a sizable premium over spot too, right? Anybody know what these go for? I'm too lazy to go grab my Red Book, lol :p

$15 in MS-67

They are very neat, and the lowest value 90% us minted coin I have ever seen.

I have about 10 of them. Some dude my neighborhood always has a few for sale at his garage sales, for $1 under spot. I have picked them up for about 8 a piece. Even at 12.5 spot, he just sold me more for 9 dollars.

Ebay, you do not get a premium on this coin.

I am not being a downer - I wold honor this coin if found CRHing. Awesome! First one I have seen posted since I began.

This would be cool if it were a clad coin. All the better however as a 90%er.
Great Find!!

I have a proof and an uncirculated gw half, mainly because I was born in 82.. I would love to find one in a box, nice find!

Anything beats a skunk, Im on a 3 box clad streak right now but, tomorrow is my pick up day:-)

Nice! I picked one of those up (in a commemorative holder) at a yard sale last year for $5.
