Does anyone know how to get in touch with George C. Payne. Have some questions about early White's machines and he is the guy that developed them. Not getting any satisfaction asking White's.

Thats because with all the major players when you go off and develop for another company you become "dead" to the original one. His first motion (S.P.D.) models were not for Whites but the Red Baron range (RB 5, RB 7) which might have been Bounty Hunter though I can't remember at the moment.

Last work he seemed to be doing was for the Discovery Treasure Barons but off his own bat. Best chance of contacting him would be through the "Metal Detecting Equipment" forum.
