Hi All
Anyone know about crystal cavities in vugs .
formations that create vugs , types of gems in them ect.
Also about pegmatite dikes, for example can vugs be found in them.
The picture with Tracy has vugs in rust, to the left is what appears to be iron and the right appears to be almost a solidified sand. ill Get better samples and take up the jack hammer to open it up better.
The orange stone in in the stream below but we found them in the vug, i was told was a orange agate.

The last two pictures show some of the host rock in the vein.
If anyone follow my threads i have a permit application to take a excavator and do some serious exploration of this vein.

That orange stone would be a spessatine garnet, from my limited experience. I have found them in vugs of granite before, imbedded in the drusy quart within the vug.

Vugs are basically gas pockets that are formed in the magma as it solidifies. This space gives room for crystal formation. Then nature does its chemistry magic and makes the crystals for us to find.
