I can remember seeing pics of detectors like that, back when first started to read treasure magazines. welcome to TNet! :icon_sunny:

:) Yes they are dime finders. The 5000/D doesn't do too bad either. I found my first Barber a few days ago about 6.5-7" deep. These were amazing old machines if you don't care for coin ID and depth readings. I can't break away from the old analogs no matter how hard I try.

Welcome to Tnet. I'm kinda new to MD so I've never seen machines that look like those. Looks like you manage OK with them though.
 

Great pic...itty bitty me couldn't handle the weight of those coinmasters. I still have it just in case. Great to have you with us, I'm looking forward to seeing and hearing about your finds.
