Made my tenth consecutive appearance yesterday at Tampa's yearly answer to Mardi Gras. It seems to get bigger every year --- an estimated crowd of 400K. Beeds were flying as freely as people's inhibitions and of course there were the usual drunks and trouble makers although only 28 arrests were reported. Tied one on myself with a little help from 7 Busch beers. Its' all in fun and fun for all when these wealthy muckety-mucks dress up like pirates and sail from the local country/yacht club on a replica flotilla to "invade" the city w/ floats beginning along Bayshore Blvd. and ending downtown in Tampa. It's all based around a fictional (some say factual) pirate named Jose Gaspar which had me dreaming of lost pirate hoards here in the bay area.... ARRRRGGGGG --- just one problem lads me 'ead still 'urts!
