I have,by trial and error,determined that coil size on the Garrett detectors
determine the read out on the target.I will give you what I mean:
Using a quarter:
My 5 X 8" coil reads out a beginning of 87 on the quarter.
My 8 1/2 X 11" coil reads out a beginning at 85 on the quarter
My 15 X 15" coil picks the quarter up beginning at 84 on the quarter.
Not saying this is true on every detector or why,but does anyone have a reason
for it?
