Has anyone tried the new Garrett Z-lynk on an Etrac? I was just about to purchase one on Amazon and saw a 1 star rating. It just happened that the guy got one for his Etrac. His comment was the Z-lynk did not give but one tone. So I assume 2-tone ferrous or 4-tone conductive. Only gives a singular tone. Kind of defeats the purpose of the multiple tones. Someone also asked about its compatibility with the FBS system used by Minelab.

There seems to be a lot of differing opinions on this thing. But the makeshift unit I created with Bluetooth is worthless.i want to rid myself of the dangling cord but can't justify the CTX 3030. And Minelab's wireless is ridiculously over priced at $260

I was wondering if there was any delay between target and audio. Surely there isn't, but I've heard that early wireless models did.

Everyone says no because its not Bluetooth. It's supposedly really good; just maybe not for my Etrac.

I have used mine so far on my F75SEDST and My MXT All Pro... no lag at all... still need to try it on my etrac. Thats what the Z stands for... Zero lag...
