Garrett Treasure Hound Over Water?

Will a Garrett Treasure Hound, from the surface, read a metal object (2'X2") in a pond 8'-10' deep?

I doubt it, why don't you try it on dry land first. Everytime I have used a two box
I am sorely disappointed at the lack of depth vs advertising. If it is iron I would
surely get a magnet and go fishing. A magnet could bring up all kinds of stuff and
clean the area so that the Treasure Hound would be more effective.
What else I would really do is to borrow a waterproof detector and stick it as far
down as possible and if that didn't work, go in the water. I have an Infinium and
there is the Sea Hunter, the Whites' Beach PI, Tesoros Sand Shark (I believe).
What area is the target in? You could get a few volunteers to help.
