Garrett Sea Hunter II

I bought my first Detector the Ace 250 a couple of months ago. I am Extremely Happy with It on dry land and dry sand, but I Live about 40 miles from Galveston and am considering a WaterProof Detector. The Ace 250 just doesn't like the wet sand. The Garrett Sea Hunter II seems to be Reasonably Priced (Compared to Whites and Minelabs Detectors). I don't want to have to Get a Second Loan on my Home just to by a Waterproof Metal Detector. Has/Does anyone Used/Have a Garrett Sea Hunter or the New Garrett SeahunterII, and what is your Opinion of The Detector. Thanks in Advance For Any Insight You May Give Me.

I love my sea hunter. It is very stable running in the salt and is a deep seeker. It is a Pulse induction unit so no matter what, it will love iron. Bringing the sea hunter to a trashy site will drive you insane. A question I have for you is, do you actually plan on swimming with the unit? If all your doing is wading in the water, then the only choice is the minelab sovereign. Just don't drop it.
