I have a 1500 GTI that I stopped using for some reason that I can't remember. It might have something to do with owning to many detectors and loving each one. Or it could be that I mainly hunt in the water now. Either way I'd never sell the 1500 on ebay.

Sandman .... I sold my 1500 and now i wish i had it back i sort of miss it......... I think i liked my 1500 better than the AT Pro...

Yes; that Imaging is hard to do without...they have also discontinued the GTP 1350...hope they got new Imaging machines to replace them. The GTI 2500 is still available...

They are still making the GTI 1500 at present, but not the GTP 1350. The GTI will soon be discontinued when the orders are caught up. And it is a fantastic machine. I have found literally thousands of coins and rings with mine.

I still have my 1500 though it is collecting dust right now. As for the AT Pro, a plain magnet works as well and for a lot less money.

Hey Sandman...your so full of pride and arrogance...keep your crap Garrett bashing comments to yourself. You talk so much on these forums and we all know you don't know what your talking about...:headbang:

Personally, I hope they will make a new detector that incorporates the imaging system like
the 1500 and 2500. AND hopefully the color will not be that sickly green the old detectors had.
The color reminds me of all those mornings I had to get my Pepto Bismol out of the medicine chest.

... we all have our likes and dislikes........ Now Sandman knows about detectors and knows what he is talking about...... He could be known as a professional treasure hunter.......... Sandman is A OK in my book.... Now we all go bashing as you put it some detector or other at one time or another........ BUT we should not be bashing another member .... especially Sandman ..... or any one...........

All Sandman is saying is that the atpro is not a good salt water machine. I think. Sandman and Keppy are not thrilled with the atpro, but I think it is a decent machine. It grows on you but you gotta put the time into it to learn it and appreciate it. It is only a six hundred dollar machine, dont forget that. I use my cz for new exploration, or my favorite old clean grounds where I need depth. The pro is a bit better in the trash, and handles iron much better than the cz. But the cz is deeper, even with the small 8" coil. I bet that the atpro will go toe to toe with the 1500 on any target. But the cz will kick both their arses in depth.
