i went detecting today with my 6 month old pp and noticed it felt and sounded different, only way i can describe it is its like it is out of balance,i have always had the button and speaker covered so no dirt can get in there,i changed battery thinking it may be that but made no difference,it has only been used less than 20 hours, does it sound like its on its way out??as i live in New Zealand im not sure how i go about getting it fixed, guess it will cost me to send it back, disappointing really as in $NZ it cost me $160 plus another $20 shipping
thanks

Sorry to hear about the pinpointer. I know how expensive it is to have to send things off to Garrett for repairs, or heck about anyone. I don't use a electronic pinpointer as I started using a screw driver as a probe to touch the coins and pop the shallow ones out of the ground. Naturally deeper ones had to be dug by cutting a 3 sided plug and placing the dirt on a cloth or plastic frissbi. This will do till you get another or yours repaired.

Well if you contact Garrett and talk to them... I think they will send you a new one free ...I think that all it will cost you is the shipping back to Garrett..... They will pay the shipping on the one they return to you..........That is how i understand it .... So give Garrett a call .. 1-972-494-6151 ....... or ... 1-800-234-6151 .....
