They have a fantastic new design for a light headset, that not only is very ergonomic, but also has a nice clear, deep sound. I ordered a pair a couple of weeks ago, and tonite I tried them on, tested them on my metal detectors and was quite impressed. Of course they are adjustable, so I let my daughter try them on and she thought that they were quite comfortable. They come with the standard 1/4" size stereo jack, and don't require an adapter to make them fit. The ear cuffs can rotate, so that they can be packed up in a suitcase, not take up as much room and not break the cuffs like some cheaper models. The ClearSound Headphones have a thicker, stronger wire from the cuffs to the 1/4" JACK, and a section is formed into a curly cord to prevent sudden snags from ripping out the wires.

The headsets also come with an in-line volume control, to set the audio to your desired listening level.

Now the ClearSound Headphones are stereo, which means that if you run them through a mono setup metal detector, you will only get audio on one side. The Scorpion is one such metal detector. I am looking forward to a new season of hunting, using these headphones for land hunting. :)

These look great! I've been wondering something though. Does the ear piece fully cover your ear or just sit on top of it? I haven't been able to tell from any of the pictures I've seen. I would really consider getting these for this summer if they were full over the ear. They look light yet very well made. Thanks for the review!

I was looking at this package from kellyco. It has everything I have been looking at. The back pack, pick tool and headphones. I wish they had one just like this but included the Pro-pointer so I could give it to my dad. They do have a similar package with a Pro-pointer and an Ace 250 but I don't need the Ace.

The package below is $97.62

It pretty well covers the whole ear.

That package deal looks pretty good. That's the first time I've seen it.

Oh good! I was afraid it looked to small for an ear to fit inside. Yeah I like the look of this package. I think I'll try to get it before the summer. Thanks for the info, that's what I was wanting to know.

Queston guys; What is the advantage of stero headphones? I have never seen or heard of a stero detector. It would be great though. MMMmmif the tone is in the left ear ..move left..equal in both ears you are right over it???
Not trying to be smart garlic..but really can't figure out advantage.

No advantage...it's just that everything in the market is pretty well hard wired to accept stereo jacks, not mono. Ever tried looking for a mono set of headphones?

Thanks J.E. That's what I thought. Just didn't make sense to me. I thought I may have missed something in 30+ yrs on my right knee.

:icon_thumright: I have too agree, just got the combo Ace Package and these where included
very well made, and the volume goes way up .....great addition to those who don,t have head phones yet
