GARRETT Gtax 400 vs. GARRETT Ace 250

Hello everyone!

I am interested in doing some metal detecting. I would like to buy one that does not cost more than 250 dollars. I would prefer the detector having water capability. Researching on Ebay, I am undecided between the Garrett Gtax 400 and the Ace 250. Anyone have any suggestions? Is there a better one than these two below 250 dollars?

The Ace 250 has a lot more features and is waterproof up to the control box. Has pinpointing, 5 modes of operation, uses 4 AA batteries good for some 50 to 60 hours of operating, with full target ID and has proven to me that it can see coins as deep as 9 inches in our soils, larger metal deeper.
