Formerly New Orleans.. Now Pueblo Co
Detector(s) used
several, mostly Garrett
Primary Interest:
All Treasure Hunting
I found this for sale today, but no model number or description on the ad... Anyone recognize it? Trying to decide if it's worth buying and how much to offer. This is the only pic they had up

Garrett had some good machines back in the day. I still have my Groundhog from the early 80s but it don't go out any longer and is just a reminder of the good ole days.

that's pretty cool. Their flash reflected on the model name though. I've poured over lots of images but can't find a match for that particular control configuration. I'm going to guess it's mid to late 70's. Reminds me of my old Bounty Hunter Rb12-d Red Baron that's been asleep in my closet for the last 20 or so years

Yeah I saw it and thought of the old deepseekers and masterhunter machines from all the treasure hunting magazines when I was a kid, but I can't for the life of me find one online with matching controls :icon_scratch:

well... it seems the one you found is the only other one out there.... at least on google images....

I texted the guy and if he gets back to me I'll see if he'll take 50 bucks for it, since it's old and all... and doesn't have the 2 box adapter....

I'm going to go have a look at it tomorrow, he says it works, so I'll take it out and see what it can do. Who knows? with a coil that big I might be able to find some good stuff, hopefully at least enough to cover the cost of batteries.....
