I've used this detector for around a year now and it has worked flawlessly for me. I've found a lot of silver coins with it. The control box has been modified to be more securely mounted to the rod. The factory attachment is a flawed designed. You won't have to worry about the control box coming loose on this detector with its new mod.
Also, it's hard to see but there's a faint streak across the face of the control box. It doesn't affect anything, but I thought I'd mention it.
Oh and one other thing, there's small dent in the middle rod, but again it doesn't affect the detector's performance. Included is a headphone plug adaptor (dealers sell them for $35+) so you can use most any set of headphones with the detector. Overall it's a really good detector, I just need to thin the herd some so I can try some other detectors. That's what I like to do.
