garrett at pro water hunting question

hello all,i just got my at pro and i am planing on using it to shallow water hunt.(waist to mid chest deep nothing over my head)the machine will be fully submersed but the headphones will be high and dry on my head.so do i need the underwater waterproof garrett headphones?or is the connection with the land headphones to the machine waterproof enough to submers the machine as long as i don't get the headphones wet?happy new year and thanks in advance for your input.

i believe the connection is waterproof that comes with the land headphones, ya just can't submerge the headphones themselves. atleast thats what i heard

This is correct...........I ordered the waterproof phones anyway because knowing me I would fall down or forget this really isn't a true water detector. If you plan on getting caught in the rain, this will ruin the phones also.
