Hi all! hoping someone can shed a little light on this issue.
History of machine: Coil replaced due to broken wires in loom 4 inches from control box jack/plug in out of the box, warranty replacement.
Control board and coil replaced summer 2023 due to water leakage into case, warranty replacement.
Upon getting machine back i decided to seal up jacks/outlets on control box, between box at base of outlets/jacks, with silicone and carefully applied black electrical tape around outside of screen to also prevent water leakage into case.
Machine has worked like new until today..So being the warranty was up on all repairs and machine i took apart to discover no water, bad smells or faulty looking wiring or chip board components.. Carefully re-assembled and tested..
No luck!
Issue is when the machine is moved, even gently, set on the lowest sensitivity, mid or highest setting in any mode with either the 8.5x11'' or 5x8'' coil machine gives false signals.. Also will signal when both coils are dipped in fresh water.. Machine is pretty much unusable in current condition..
Have taken very careful care of machine..no cold/hot extremes, hard drops/hits, coil cables always properly and securely wrapped and has been kept clean with fresh water rinses between uses when needed.
Yes, did factory reset before changing coils while testing.
Always use standard 1.5 volt Duracell brand or Energizer batteries.
Not a Threshold or Frequency issue either.
No apparent issues without coil plugged in.
Is slightly quieter in coins mode and custom mode though still get erratic VDI numbers on display screen.
Pretty much just happened overnight..
Travis.
