Garrett AT Gold Metal Detector For Sale - Kellyco Metal Detectors

Is this a new or older model ? Any one that has one and used it , How do you like it ? Have you found gold with it and how small ? What other brands in this price range would you recommend ?

Going for the whites mxt pro. Did enough reading on the at gold to change my mind.

The AT Gold is for hobbist gold prospectors and not "pros." The Gold Bug II, or White's GMT is lots better at the small pickers. Heck, the Super Lobo is lots better than the AT Gold.

The AT Gold is a super machine that is years ahead of the other VLF machines. Years ahead. Two or three years ahead. More than ten years on some units that were mentioned in this thread.

You are wrong sandman .. i dont know where you get your info .... how can anybody say that when they haven't tried them?? i have check the following
i have found gold the size of a BB at 4 inches with the AT gold,the white GMT will also pick up the same piece at 4 inch.
The gold Bug II would not pick it up at 4 inches but would at 3 inches
The super Lobo would only pick it up at 3 inches not 4
but on the other hand everybody know you kick Garrett every chance you git

I believe he was referring to the smaller gold...or to put it another way more sensitive to the tiny gold other machines will miss, not nec. depth on bb size etc.

the size of a bb is more refered to because also everyone can relate to it...... ive got gold here thats is so small the none of the above detector will pick it up butt ..the
at gold is at the top of list followed but the white. then gold bug. the lobo can in last. the size of gold is the size being pickup with tweezers. i have found out the at gold better to adjust in high mineral ground but still will signal when a gold is their where others would not

Sandman your high man...you've never tried an AT Gold. It will smoke my Lobo, which is old as hell tech now. Stifle it till you have some facts. Bashing stuff you've never used...my first nugget with the AT Gold was .01 gram. It is one of the most PRO units I've used...the Lobo is clunky.
