Garrett American AM-2 Meter Needle Adjustment Info Needed

Can anybody tell me how to adjust the meter needle on a Garrett American AM-2 metal detector? Yes, I know this unit is an antique as it was introduced in 1986. I purchased it in a thrift store and am cleaning it up for use by my 5 year old grandson. My everyday unit is a Garrett AT-Pro.
