Garrett 350 GTA or Ace 250?

I have been reading the site for a while and putting my 2 cents in once and a while. I finally have the cash to buy a detector and have a question. I have a buddy willing to sell me his GTA 350 for 150$. I have never really deteced and am wondering if I should buy that one or spend 50$ more for the ACE 250. If anyone here has used them both, which detector do you think is better. I don't want to spend more than 200$.

Run do not walk from the 350 and get a 250. The 250 is light years ahead of the 350. The 350 has been around since dirt was invented. I field test Garrett detectors. Trust me.

A person buying the GTA 350 over the Ace 250 will save $50... enough money to get a tattoo of an "L" on the forehead. Harsh, but if you do a thorough search (info on the GTA 350) it will seem a likely outcome. ...Willy.

stay away from the 350 and buy the ace 250 newer tec.a good warranty.a far better machine.

250 it is. I did try looking up info on the 350 and couldn't find much. I didn't realize it was that old. Thanks for all you input.

Get the 250 by all means, an easy to use machine, and has features of a 500 to 600 dollar detector. I have found civil war mini balls with it a 8" in testing it.
You will not go wrong, it is a fun machine to use as well.

Just to let you know, better get it now, as of March 1st, all detector prices on Garrett are going up 5%.

The Ace 250 is THE value leader in detectors.
The 350 is like the bottom of another line, that was long ago upgraded. From GT, to GTA, now GTAx.
You get almost everything you need in the Ace. LCD, depth, pinpoint, etc. And its new tech.
Get the Ace.
