Happy new year everyone :hello2:

Can somebody please tell me how to use the threshold on the 1500? Seem's as if there is no use for the feature because there is know change in the sound when I pass over a target! Or am I doing something wrong? I own a Tesoro Tejon and have no problem with threshold with it! Let me know please.
Thanks,
CoinZapper.

It is recomented that you hunt with a little background noise, as that lets you know the machine is on and operating. Even though Garrett amplifies its weaker/deeper signals, some very deep signals which might just trigger a slight audio that could be missed entirely. In some cases, digging a repeatable broken up signal is a target out of range for depth.

the threshold is for the sound the machine makes when scaning the ground while searching,
run the threshold low enough to just hear it in your headphones
and remember to push operate button after adjusting threshold

Set it on 6, which would be just below silent. It is only useful in the all metal mode which the 1500 doesnt have. Its just to make sure the machine is on. BUT...if you do set it on like 2-3 you wont pick up a target hardly at ALL. It does act as reference point for target response.
