garrett 1350 profiling mode

I think you probably could, but why?Had a 1350 for a couple of month's,profiling will only go 5-6" deep.Would hunt in all-metal or one of the disc.modes then switch to profiling when you were over a questionable target to help to decide to dig or not....just my 2 cents worth.......rh

Ive been using the 1350 for about 3 months now. I can say it takes some geeting use too. I do not use the profilling mode unlees im figuring out the size of the target , after I pinpoint it. detectors never lie at least not mine. never dug somthing up that the detector didint say was there. roots do seam to make mine beep somtimes, I dont no why. Pinpointing is pretty good. mine is usally an inch or so up and to the right of the id spot. never dismiss any beeps. I come to find out that any coin beep is most of the time a coin. even if its faint. certainly if the coin is on its edge. ive dug them up to at least 7 inches. this is a verry good machine. go slow,it pays off in the long run, I promise. Practice, practice, practice. is all I can say. Im still learning mine myself. hope this will help you enjoy ur machine as much as I do. good luck and happy hunting. see you in the field.

WELCOME!! I've had mine for a couple of weeks now..I believe the difference is that in profiling mode you will get high tone but not the ringing sound if you go over a coin..

You can, but as mentioned before... why? I accidentally leave mine in profiling mode on occasion, and have to backtrack and re hunt the area again in normal mode. I have noticed it WILL miss targets in profiling mode. You have to pinpoint first then move the coil over the target perfectly to get a response, so if you are a bit off center of the coil, no response and no target. HH Joe
